Hotel Transylvania

http://www.welcometohotelt.com/
I saw the film yesterday with my oldest daughter and some friends.  A great film in terms of animation, fluidity and posing.  Hats off to Marcello Vignali as the Production designer and the animation lead. I think it took a while for the film to kick into gear.  Most of the gags were flat and predictable. If you want to study animation and design, check it out.

One of my Favorite and most inspiring artists passed yesterday...Sergio Toppi

Around 2004  I fortunately found the amazing and brilliant work of Sergio Toppi during a visit to a small comic book convention in LA. My brain exploded due to his compositions and design concepts.  I was ecstatic to find a "new' artist to inspire my work to the next level.  This was 8 years ago and his art books are still the first I go to for design inspiration.  Thank you Sergio for sharing your genius with us.
