I am often asked how to use the FORCE drawing theory when drawing from imagination.  During this video I draw a figure while discussing anatomy, form, perspective and of course, FORCE, all while drawing from my imagination.

I good method for beginners in FORCE theory is to draw in phases to allow oneself the breathing room to learn all the different aspects of FORCE drawing. This video presents the aspects based off of a photo of a model.  The second half of the video takes a Dean Cornwell drawing and applies these FORCE concepts to his work.

Batman Year 100- Paul Pope

Sadly I have not read through a full comic in years.  Last week I picked up Paul Pope's Batman comic and I want to say it was a great read and a joy to look at his visuals.  I have been aware of Paul for a long time but have never sat down and taken the time to read through one of his books.  At the back of the compilation were his thoughts about costuming and he discussed texture quite often.  This was one of the inspirations for the FORCE video of the week which discusses texture.
